Due to my work as a practitioner I knew when entering the doctoral journey my heart and passion for research centered around school integration. The knowledge that I have obtained over my time as a scholar has informed my area of research with rich literature that explains the history of segregation and integration in this country. The knowledge I have obtained as a scholar practitioner has supported presentations that I have been able to share with legislators in our Nation's Capitol and beyond.
